I mentioned in my post from the peppermint bark that it is one of my grandpa’s favorite things. He was recently in the hospital and he’s now home, so I wanted to bring something he’d enjoy…but peppermint bark really isn’t in season anymore. Luckily, I found a recipe for cake batter bark that was equally delicious, and very festive. If you’re looking for a tasty and easy dessert, look no further! You could do it with whatever kind of sprinkles you wanted to add a little fun.
Cake Batter Bark
Recipe from: Stephanie Cooks
1 pkg chocolate bark
1 pkg vanilla/white chocolate bark
1.5 tsp dry cake batter, I used the butter golden one
Spread newspaper over countertops, and place waxed paper on top. Melt chocolate according to package directions and once smoooth, spread a thin layer over the wax paper. Allow to harden and then melt the white chocolate. Once it’s smooth, mix in the cake batter and get all the lumps out. Spread this on top of the hardened chocolate really quickly so it doesn’t melt the chocolate and mix, you don’t want muddy looking bark! Once evenly spread, sprinkle on your sprinkles and allow to harden before breaking it into pieces.
