What to do with a flat iron steak…

This post isn’t so much a recipe, as much as it is a tip.

A while back I sent my husband to the store for something and he came back with this flat iron steak that was on sale.  I wasn’t sure what to do with it so we marinated it in Dale’s Marinade.  Let me tell you, if you have not tried Dale’s yet, run your butt to the store and pick some up.  This stuff is AWESOME.  You can get it at your regular supermarket, we bought the “original” one.  Anyway, it’s great stuff.

So here’s the tip for what we did.  The night before, stick your flat iron steak in a gallon-size ziploc bag and pour about half of that bottle of Dale’s in, close while getting the air out.  Stick it in a bowl (just in case) in the fridge overnight.  You don’t need ANY extra seasonings at all.

Next day, stick that bad boy on the grill and cook medium-rare (the pictures show it a little overcooked – but it was still so tender!).  Cook some onions and peppers and voila, you have the most amazing fajitas ever!  Just top with your favorite toppings.  This meat is SO tender!  And you will be licking your fingers, the plate….basically anything that the meat comes in contact with!

Trust me.  You won’t be sorry.
