Spicy Chex Mix

We love chex mix, but we like ours spicy so we rarely buy the pre-mixed stuff.  Ours is also a favorite treat of one of our best friends, so I made up a batch to add to her birthday gift.  You could add extras in to this, I know a lot of people like pretzels and peanuts.  I like just regular chex mix though!

Ingredients:
2 2/3 cups each of Rice, Corn & Wheat Chex Cereal
1 stick butter (not margarine)
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
5 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp Tony’s Seasoning (or cajun seasoning)

Method:

Mix the cereals in a large microwave-safe bowl.  Microwave butter, Worcestershire sauce and seasonings together until butter is completely melted.  Stir well and pour over the cereal mixture.  Using two spoons, toss to coat evenly.  Microwave 5-6 minutes, stirring often (I stir every minute) until it’s crunchy.

Allow to cool completely before storing in tupperware or ziploc bags.
