Overnight Cinnamon Rolls

Being relatively newly-weds with a toddler, my husband and I want to begin our own family traditions at holidays.  One was to have a nice, homecooked breakfast each Christmas morning.  I want to have the same thing, each Christmas morning.  I chose Alton Brown’s overnight cinnamon rolls, since I can do most of the work the night before and just pop it into the oven while gifts are being opened.  Also, my husband and I are BIG fans of Alton’s.  I even tried REALLY hard to win an autographed copy of one of his cookbooks for my husband’s birthday.  Unfortunately, I didn’t win.

Overall, I was pleased with this recipe.  I’m new to the world of yeast, really so I think maybe that had something to do with my only complaint – that it seemed a little chewy.  I also didn’t let my cream cheese soften enough, so the icing was lumpy.  I’ll perfect it next year!
