Balsamic-Maple Glazed Pork Chops

Though I’m normally not a huge pork chop fan, when I saw the picture of Balsamic-Maple Glazed pork chops on Carrie’s Sweet Life, my mouth literally watered.  The recipe seemed pretty easy so I decided to head over to the meat market in town for some really good pork chops…

Balsamic-Maple Glazed Pork Chops


2 tsp. poultry seasoning or herbs de Provence

Tony’s, salt and pepper as desired

extra virgin olive oil

1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

1 tablespoon maple syrup

2-3 pork chops


Pat pork chops dry, then sprinkle seasonings on each side, rubbing in.  Heat olive oil over medium heat.  Once hot, add pork chops, cooking on both sides until just done.  Remove and keep warm.  Deglaze the pan with balsamic vinegar, turning the heat up to a medium-high.  Once the vinegar has reduced by half, add the maple syrup, quickly stirring.  Return pork chops to the pan, coating well with the glaze.  Serve hot.  Great with mashed potatoes and broccoli.

The Verdict:  Get ready because you will be licking your fingers, the plate, your fork, the pan…basically anything that has touched these pork chops!  This meal was so simple but packed a flavorful punch that was amazing.  AMAZING!!
