Snickerpoodles

My daughter loves cookies and I’m constantly having to tell her “don’t let the puppy doggies have any cookies, they’ll get sick!”  Well I thought she’d get a kick out of helping make the doggies their own cookies and we both had a blast.  She loved helping with the cookie cutters, and I have to say that this is the first time I wasn’t tempted to taste the dough.

And the doggies?  Loved them!

Snickerpoodles
Recipe from:  Community Homes and Gardens magazine

Ingredients
1/2 cup powdered milk
1 egg, well beaten
2.5 cups flour
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1.5 tsp brown sugar
1/2 cup water
6 tbsp gravy mix
baby food meat (we used a small beef and gravy flavor)

Method:

Preheat oven to 350.

Mix all ingredients well, then roll out on a floured board until the dough is about half an inch thick.  Cut out with cookie cutters.

Bake 25-30 minutes and allow to cool and harden before serving (to your dogs!).  Store in an airtight container.
